What's es-BANK?

es-BANK is an orderly system of collection, archiving, cataloging and management of biological and environmental specimens from all over the world and provide them to wide range of researchers within and outside our university for improving scope of the monitoring studies on environmental toxic substances.
Archived specimens: wildlife, water, sediments etc., containing about 1,300 species and 100,000 specimens collected from Asia, Europe, Australia, North/South America and Antarctic, and from Arctic, North/South Pacific, North/South Atlantic, Indian and Antarctic Oceans during the last 50 years.

Aug. 29, 2016 840 fish samples, 135 cetacean & sea cows samples and 1 bird sample have been added to the database.
Apr. 05, 2016 “Request Forms” and “How to request for archived samples” have been renewed.
Mar. 25, 2016 447 terrestrial mammal samples, 1343 cetacean & sea cows samples, 18 seal & sea otter samples and 235 bird samples have been added to the database.

Mar. 08, 2012 281 terrestrial mammal samples, 258 cetacean & sea cows samples and 77 invertebrate samples have been added to the database.
